CARDIGAN rounded off a good season on a disappointing note at Pontyberem.
They were unable to register a single point against a team they had already beaten at home and who finished 11th out of 12 teams in the league.
The Teifisiders ended in a creditable 5th place in a tough section but they were without a few key players and found themselves 8-0 down at half time.
They conceded further points afterwards, despite the excellent efforts of youth team No 8 Sion Jones, who was playing flanker in this match.
Home outside half Nick Davies slotted an early penalty and Pontyberem also had a try by centre Jonathan Morgan from an interception.
Further tries came from replacement Jacob Hardy and No 8 Phil Rowe, one converted by Nick Davies, as Pontyberem enjoyed their eighth win of the campaign and the Teifisiders endured their 11th defeat.
