FISHGUARD ran in 14 tries against Llangwm in this one-sided Pembrokeshire derby.
Now the Seagulls know that a point against St Clears on Saturday will be enough to give them the section silverware.
When the sides met at Pill Parks the score was only 5-3 in Fishguard’s favour but there was no doubting who would win this return tussle as they led 38-0 just before the break.
Andrew Brock notched a penalty for the Wasps but, that aside, there was only going to be one winner as Fishguard maintained a tight grip on events before and after that solitary Wasps’ score.
James Griffiths again led the Seagulls’ scoring machine as the young outside half ran in four tries and kicked six conversions for a personal haul of 32 points.
There were also try braces from Gavin Walsh, Richard Hunter, Mark George and Mike Jenkins - alongside tries from Rhys Morgans, Dan Harries and Gwilym Evans.
It was a fitting end to Fishguard’s home programme although co-coach Huw Evans found it immensely difficult to remember who had pouched the points, he and Randall Williams were really pleased with their team’s performance.
