Division three west - CARDIGAN produced their best display of the season as they easily beat a Tumble side that arrived with aspirations for promotion.
But these were blown away as it was the Teifisiders who looked title contenders by scoring four tries in each half.
It was 15 minutes before Cardigan claimed their first try when winger Rhydian Jenkins fielded an attempted clearance and set up the chance for centre Aled Jones to score a try which Iestyn Crompton converted.
Steve Hewitt managed a solitary penalty for Tumble but the Cardis added other tries by prop Geraint Davies, full back Llyr Tobias and Rhydian Jenkins, all converted by Crompton to make it 28-3 at the interval.
Hewitt managed a second penalty at the start of the second half and Tumble also claimed a late converted try by winger Nicky Allinson.
But by then Cardigan had scored another four tries by winger Kieran Hurley (2), No 8 Llyr Griffiths and scrum half Arwyn Wilson, two converted by Crompton as the Teifisiders showed their full potential.
