Finding a rugby match where a father and son are playing in the same side is a fairly rare occurrence but Telegraph Sport can report that in one end-of-season match at Crickmarren there were no fewer than three fathers and their sons playing for Pembroke Seconds!
Nigel Duffy has played in the centre for the Scarlets for more years than even he cares to remember and is now joined by son Lee.
Then there's Norman Butch' Gilbert, who played for the first team for many years and son Darren followed him as a first team regular before he went off to college.
Peter Kidney was a star lineout forward with Tenby United when they were at the top of the tree and when he turned up to watch his talented son Craig play he was roped in as a replacement and played well during the second period.
All six said afterwards it was great to be part of such an unusual experience and, to top it all, Pembroke won the match.
