The Pembrokeshire Knock Out Final sees the two top teams in the county meeting head to head at Heywood Lane tonight (Wednesday) as Narberth take on a Whitland.
The Borderers start as hot favourites after twice beating the Otters in league games in Division One, initially at home by 26-5 and then, more recently, 47-0 in Narberth.
Narberth came through with a deserved victory over Crymych while Whitland comfortably overcame a determined Neyland outfit and it would be interesting to know what odds would be offered on the Otters snatching the silverware which the Borderers already hold after beating Crymych in last season's final at Haverfordwest.
One bookmaker offered odds of 8-1 on Whitland and 6-1 against for Narberth, long odds for a two-horse race!
The form book also suggests Whitland because they have had a very good season where they have remained in the top three throughout, while Narberth slumped into the bottom four with a string of disappointing defeats.
On paper, the Borderers have a very strong pack built around skipper Randall Williams and the fact that they have seven solid front row forwards and an outstanding back row where four players will be vying for three places.
The Whitland second rows are excellent lineout jumpers and there is no doubt that this platform should stand the Borderers in good stead.
Narberth are not so well off for front row men and indeed in that recent home match with Whitland suffered the indignity of having uncontested scrums in a heavy defeat.
Skipper Emori Katalau will lead by example but the Otter pack will really have to raise the tempo if they are to prevent Whitland achieving the treble over them this season.
It could prove an easy win for the Borderers but the Otters have risen to the occasion before although it will take a mighty effort to overcome this strong, committed and dynamic Whitland outfit!
