Clarbeston Road 5
Monkton Swifts 1
Clarbeston Road striker Richard Bevan bagged four goals in his side’s crucial win over bottom of the table Monkton Swifts.

This was a game that the Road simply had to win, and boy did it all turn sweet come the second half. After a goalless first period, the visitors scored in the first minute after the turnaround. Mike Loveridge scored following a Rhys Jones corner that was nodded on by Dan Rees and Loveridge stabbed home from close range.

Then Steve Brown’s Clarbie outfit took complete control as in-form striker Bevan found a way past visiting custodian Lance Creese on four occasions. The visitors did reply through Daniel Scourfield, but this crucial win sees Clarbie leapfrog above Prendergast Villa and leave relegation bound Swifts firmly rooted in the mire in bottom place.
