Neyland 3
Solva 3
Solva came from behind to snatch a precious point against in-form Neyland.
After a goalless first period, things livened up in the scoring stakes in the second period. Sean Ellison gave the visitors the lead. A wicked left-foot strike by Wayne Parry levelled matters. Player/manager Paul Hannon rounded Solva keeper Chris Davies to add a second for the Nomads. Adam La Rosa nodded home Aaron McQuillan’s corner for a third.
However, Peter Cole’s Solva troops mounted a serious fightback, where David Price struck a brace to earn his side a worthwhile point.
The Nomads remain in 7th position in the table while Solva are eight points behind the Nomads in ninth.
“This was a game I felt we should have won, but Solva battled hard and in the end deserved a point,” said Neyland’s Paul Hannon.
Solva boss Peter Cole said: “On the overall balance of play a draw was just about right.”
