TWO gymnasts and a coach from Pembroke-shire have been chosen to represent Great Britain at the forthcoming European special needs gymnastic championships.
Jemma Bowie Hallam, of Milford Haven, and Victoria Walters, of Tenby, have been selected for the British team who are competing in a European competition in Luxembourg from May 21st-25th.
Both girls are members of Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics Club, and train weekly with their club, and monthly with the Welsh squad in Cardiff.
The pair were very successful at the summer games held by Special Olympics GB in Leicester, in July last year.
The club are delighted for these two young gymnasts.
Also, Victoria Jones has been selected as a coach for the games and will accompany a team of ten gymnasts from Great Britain.
The girls are looking for financial aid and if anyone can help with sponsorship to ensure these special needs gymnasts attend the European gymnastics in Luxembourg then contact Jean Jones, head coach of PSNGC, on 01646 600623.
