Prendergast Villa 1
Hundleton 2
(After extra-time)
Ten-man Hundleton came from behind to claim a famous cup replay victory over division one outfit Prendergast Villa.

Hundleton’s hero was Polish born Seb Seredenski, the striker scored twice to earn the visitors a deserved quarter-final place. The visitors dumped holders Hakin United out in first round and now after drawing 4-4 at home with Villa, they caused another upset by beating Villa in extra-time to set-up a mouth-watering tie with close neighbours Pennar Robins.

Joe John gave Villa a 20th minute lead with a well-taken far post volley. Just before the break and the visitors’ frustration got the better of them as midfielder Geraint Lewis was red-carded by referee Paul Rooney for foul and abusive language.

However, a good talking to by manager Mark Powell put them in the right frame of mind for the second half. Seredenski scored a peach of an equaliser; the deadly striker entered the box and finished clinically with his left-peg to square matters.

No further goals in the second period, but it was fair to say that the ten-men of Hundleton were more up for it than lacklustre Villa, and so it proved in the extra-time period.

Seredenski scored the winner in the 105th minute of extra-time to send his team-mates ecstatic — and it was no more than what they second division outfit deserved.
