Merlins Bridge 3
Neyland 1
Matthew Price scored twice in the Wizards’ comfortable cup victory over Neyland at the Racecourse.
For the second successive week, the Wizards’ manager has led his team by example, as they deservedly reach the quarter final of the cup that they were beaten in at last season’s final.
Midway through the first period and Price drilled an effort past Nomads’ keeper Patrick Hannon. Shortly after the break and Stephen McNabney doubled the lead.
However, the Nomads proved a tough nut to crack as Wayne Parry pulled a goal back for the visitors. Price added a third to win the tie and should have completed hat-trick, as he missed a sitter right at the death.
