Solva 1
Hakin United 3

Come the final whistle Hakin United had just eight-players standing in victory over Solva at Maes-y-Mor.

This clash will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, as referee Sean O’Connor stood for no-nonsense and sent off four players during the 90-minute period.

The visitors had Steve Mathias, Ashley Bevan, Andrew Kingston red-carded along with Solva’s Ross Beese.

On the football front the visitors led one-nil at the break, striker Paul ‘Jonah’ Jones broke clear to neatly slot the ball past Chris Davies.

Leigh Broome found the target for goal number two and substitute Chris Milich scored with a peach of a diving header for the third.

Charlie Syme pulled one back for Solva with 20 minutes to go — but the champions claimed victory to go top of table on goal-difference —but hot on their heels is Merlins Bridge, with four games in hand.
