Bridgend College 19
Pembrokeshire College 16
Having conceded over 50 points at home to this Bridgend team, this game was in marked contrast to the first. The improved defensive organisation by both backs and forwards only conceded a try in each half.
This was the first game for both sides after the snow and running rugby seemed to be the philosophy of the day. However, the long lay-off produced some unforced errors that restricted the flow of the game, particularly in the first quarter.
Bridgend took an early lead after 25 minutes with a penalty and an unconverted try.
Pembrokeshire started to work their way into the game and accurate goal kicking of Kial Keane ensured that the deficit was only 13-9 at half-time.
A much improved second half by both sides resulted a far greater opportunities and last ditch tackles from both teams prevented a far higher scoring game.
Pembrokeshire with great determination got stronger as the game wore on. They were rewarded when a fine team effort led to captain Johnny Howard crossing under the posts for a converted try.
Bridgend added a penalty and drop goal to secure victory in the second half.
