Prendergast Villa footballer Paul Jenkins is busy training for the London marathon, which takes place on Sunday, April 25th.
His punishing weekly programme includes running six to seven miles daily, also going to the gym and use the rowing machine to build up stamina to ensure he’s in good shape going in to the marathon.
Paul is raising money for the British heart foundation.
“My family has been affected by heart conditions and a good friend of mine Steve James died last year - so his death has given me inspiration to raise money for a very good cause,” said Jenkins.
Paul is determined to raise at least £2500 for the charity, if any Western Telegraph readers want to support Paul they can log onto www.justgiving.com/pauljenkins and donate.
