Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club is organising a series of four sessions aimed at introducing newcomers to running, or for those who have some experience of running but wish to improve.
The sessions will cater for all abilities and the first session will be held on Tuesday, January 26th.
The remaining sessions will run on consecutive weeks and all will be based in Haverfordwest.
David Astins, training co-ordinator for the club, said: “We ran similar sessions back in 2002 and they proved extremely successful, with an excellent turnout, particularly from women.
“Many of those who attended then went on to run on a regular basis, taking part in local charity runs such as the Race for Life, some have even gone on to compete in marathons and triathlons.”
The cost for the four sessions is just £10, and includes temporary club membership until March.
Each session will include a gentle warm-up, instruction on the basics of good running technique and a short, 15-20 minute session that will work off the pounds added at Christmas, if nothing else!
Expert advice will be on hand from qualified British triathlon coaches.
For further details of the sessions or to book a place, telephone Ellie Jones on 07974 199887 or visit the club website at www.pembrokeshire-tri.org.uk.
