Tumble 0.
Cardigan 76.
Cardigan produced one of their best all-round performances for some time as they played some sparkling attacking rugby at Tumble and ran in 12 tries whilst keeping a clean sheet in defence.
One could say that Tumble have only won once in seven league starts and are languishing near the foot of the table but they are traditionally difficult to beat on their own patch and rarely sustain such a heavy beating as this, with the Teifisiders scoring 38 points in each period.
Their platform was based on the ball-winning exploits of their pack as Richard Jones, Nigel Kurish, Dai Jones, Matthew James and Dylan Davies were not only strong in the set pieces but worked tirelessly in the loose alongside Marcus Heighton, skipper Colin Davies and Dylan Richards.
They secured quality possession utilised by half backs Mike Diggle and Iestyn Crompton so that tries came at regular intervals once Richard Jones had got them off to a good start with his try.
There was some good work by Huw Davies and Nathan Murphy as centre Carwyn Thomas sliced through for the first of his four tries and was followed by hooker Kurish, winger Rob Davies and No 10 Iestyn Crompton, who also landed four conversions as Carwyn Thomas rounded off the first-half try feast with his second score.
Cardigan captain Colin Davies and Carwyn Thomas shared the opening four tries of the second period, with second tries for Robert Davies and Iestyn Crompton, who also notched another four conversions to complete a personal haul of 26 points.
It nicely rounded off a huge win for the Teifisiders as reward for some wonderfully cohesive play between forwards and backs throughout the game.
