Oakwood Theme Park was temporarily transformed into an all-terrain running course for the Pembrokeshire primary schools cross country event.
The event attracted competitors from across the county with a total of 780 youngsters taking part at different age levels from 43 schools. The race is run at the attraction every year and this year’s event proved particularly popular with competitors and spectators alike.
Oakwood’s marketing manager, Stephanie Churchyard, said: “We were extremely fortunate that the weather was so fine and it really helped attract a good crowd of spectators.
“We’re delighted to be supporting such a positive activity for youngsters in the county.”
The race was run and officiated by volunteers from Pembrokeshire Harriers and Mary Immaculate school. Tasker Milward and Sir Thomas Picton pupils provided the ‘hares’ for the course.
