Narberth 2.
Monkton Swifts 5.
Marcus Taylor scored a terrific hat-trick for Monkton Swifts in their thoroughly deserved victory at Jesse Road over Narberth.
This fine win keeps Benno Jones’ flighty Swifts in third place, just two points adrift of leaders Hakin United, and level on points with derby rivals Pennar Robins.
In-form Taylor lashed home the first two goals for the visitors and Ben Jones rose highest at a corner to nod in a far post third. It gave the Swifts a three-goal cushion at the interval.
Taylor struck a stinging 18-yarder to complete his hat-trick for the fourth. Substitute Ashley Prior got in on the goal-scoring act, flicking in the fifth off the inside of Adrian Jones’ post.
Andrew Thomas’ Bluebirds replied as Morgan Preece struck an absolute beauty, while Swifts’ defender Jamie Callan got the last touch for an own goal to complete the scoring.
