Tenby United 66.

Cwmgors 10.

Three tries by elusive winger Dan Colley was the highlight of Tenby United’s victory over lowly Cwmgors as the Seasiders treated their supporters to a total of ten tries from some excellent running rugby.

Cwmgors had lost all of their five previous matches but that takes nothing away from Tenby’s performance. Coach Gareth Davies ensured there was no complacency from Tenby who were already 28-3 ahead at the break and, apart from allowing Cwmgors a try, were always in total command thereafter.

Lee Tucker led his Tenby pack by example alongside real ball-winners Ben Cray, Simon Griffiths, Gareth Edwards and Wyndham Williams.

Harry Bolton, Nicky Guymer and Sam Smith were looking to set up platforms for Rhys Thomas and Tom Lewis to exploit.

Lewis had a field day, regularly calling the shots by bringing his back division into action.

There was a deserved score for pocket-battleship replacement prop Mark Brace and the other tries came from Tenby’s backs.

As well as Colley’s three tries, there were others for full back Aled Griffiths, winger Sam Catikai (2) and centre Mark Heywood.

Lewis also sped over twice himself and pocketed a personal haul of 26 points, with eight conversions from ten attempts.

This completed an excellent win that keeps the Seasiders right up there with the section’s front runners.
