A Pembrokeshire-born archer has followed her Paralympic medals with a win in the National Tour final.
Jodie Grinham, fresh from winning gold and bronze at the Paralympic Games in Paris, triumphed at the National Tour: The Final in Nottingham on Saturday, September 7.
The Haverfordwest native, who is almost eight months pregnant, added the compound women's National Tour title to her impressive Paralympic accolades.
The National Tour: The Final, held at Wollaton Hall, is the pinnacle of the 2024 Archery GB National Tour.
The event showcased debut finalists, world-record holders, and Team GB archery squad members in a display of archery skill.
In a tense compound women's gold final, Ms Grinham faced world number one, Ella Gibson.
With the score at 118-117 in Ms Gibson's favour going into the final end, a 30 from Ms Grinham to Ms Gibson's 29 forced a shoot-off.
Both archers shot identical looking Xs, but after a measure from the judges, Ms Grinham was awarded the gold podium spot.
She said: "I felt confident in my shot, especially after the week I'd had.
"However, I was also so tired that I wasn't sure mentally if I'd be able to complete my shot fully.
"I knew I just needed to try my best.
"As much as I am extremely proud to have won what I have and have these amazing achievements, which I’m so happy about, I constantly want to improve.
"It was amazing to be back in the UK and although people wanted hugs, photos and to see medals, the respect shown to the fact I was competing was really sweet."
The event also saw other notable victories.
Finals debutant, Rene Bekker, defeated the 2023 champion, Daniel Kilgallon, 6-2 in the barebow men's final.
Another debut finalist, Robert Edwards, claimed bronze, beating second-ranked Tom Williams.
In the compound men's category, Tom Lane turned his debut appearance into his first finals victory, defeating three-time National Tour champion Adam Ravenscroft.
The family-friendly event offered attendees the chance to try archery themselves at various have-a-go sessions and meet their favourite Olympic and Paralympic archers from Paris 2024.
Jon Nott, events manager, said: "Year on year, it’s brilliant to see the National Tour: The Final grow.
"From spectators to athletes and the amazing team of volunteers and judges, alongside our fantastic partners, they all help to make this event happen."
Throughout the 2024 season, more than 1,000 archers entered the National Tour, competing at five stages to accumulate ranking points and vie for a podium spot.
The tour began in April at the home of Archery GB at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire, and included the UK Masters and the British Target Championships, alongside events at Woking Archery Club and Barnsley Archery Club.
