A 10-year-old disabled boxer reached the semi-final of the Minor and Schools National Championship 2024 last weekend.
Amelia Mereith is hearing impaired which is the only disability allowed to compete in amateur boxing.
She was defeated by Faith Potts from Afan Spartans Boxing Club on May 18 in Cardiff, Sophia Gardens.
Pembroke and Pembroke Dock ABC posted on their Facebook page:
"Today was not to be for Amelia. We are so proud of you . Your first fight and now on to your next. It takes courage to compete. You're only 10 years old.
"Good luck to Faith Potts from Afan Spartans Boxing Club in the final tomorrow."
Amelia assists Great Britain Disability Boxing every Thursday with their inclusive boxing sessions at Pembroke ABC from 5pm-8:30pm.
