Glynneath 21.

Narberth 34.

It has been left to Narberth alone to carry the Pembrokeshire flag alone into round five of the Konica Minolta Cup.

The earned their place after a hard battle against Glynneath, who play in division three (south-west), where the Otters used their greater experience to come back from an early deficit to win.

The homesters took the lead after eight minutes when flanker Craig Moses was driven over from a lineout, with scrum-half David Felton converting. But the Otters bounced back with an unconverted try by Aled Davies from a typical blind-side break by the fly half.

Glynneath regained the initiative when Felton kicked penalties from 38 and 30 metres but Narberth reduced the deficit to 13-12 by half time as Aled Davies made another break and full back Nick Jones scored a try which Davies converted.

Felton added a third penalty soon after the interval but Narberth took the lead for the first time when Nick Jones again crossed and Aled Davies converted, before also contributing a successful penalty kick.

The Otters made the game safe with further tries by replacement lock Chris James, converted by Aled Davies, and replacement winger Matthew Davies - and although Glynneath grabbed a late consolation try by left wing Tom Venn it was Narberth who entered the next round hoping for a home draw against one of the big guns still left in.
