Jordan Hart, of Pembroke Dock, continued her travels and maintained her good run of form recently when she won the badminton Under-13s Nottingham gold doubles on January 20th with partner Victoria Williams, of Hants.
They faced England's number one pairing of Chloe Birch and Serena Midha. Final score 21-17, 21-10.
On February 2nd and 3rd, Jordan travels to Ireland as captain of the 12 players making up the Welsh Under-13s squad in the triangular match against Ireland and Scotland.
Jordan is head and shoulders above the rest of the squad (including the boys) and they will be looking to her for inspiration.
In fact her results of late have been so impressive that she has been approached to play doubles in the National Senior Closed Tournament. By that date she will have just reached the grand old age of 13.
On a more local note, in the South Wales Satellite level tournament held at Pembroke recently, Mike Jones from the Pembroke club won silver in the under-17 boys singles and David Dutton from the Pembroke Club won silver in the under-17 boys doubles partnering George Cherion, of Swansea.
In the under-11 boys doubles Varun Nambiar and Mithun Anthony from Haverfordwest Juniors won silver medals.
