Jordan Hart continues to shoot up the badminton world rankings following her second international tournament win of the season.
She triumphed in the Polish International after beating Denmark's Irina Anderson, the No 1 seed, over three sets.
Hart, of Pembroke Dock, came back from losing the first set 18-21, to prevail in the next two, 21-13 and again, 21-13.
"I went in seeded number two for the tournament," she told Telegraph Sport.
"There was pressure on as I reached the semi final last year so if I didn’t go better than that I would lose world ranking points.
"The girl I beat in the quarter finals, Line Christopherson (Denmark), is European Junior Champion and World Junior silver medalist.
"In the semi's I beat a strong player in Anura Prabhusesai (India) and in the final I beat another Danish player in Irina.
"I had lost to Irina around six months beforehand at the Swedish Open and winning in Poland meant I reached a new career high world ranking of 77.
"It means I'm heading in the right direction for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022."
Hart also thanked sponsors FZ Forza UK and Capital Roasters of Pembroke Dock, and has also received good support from Hubbards Newsagents, Neyland, and had donations from friends and family.
"They all made it possible for me to travel to Poland and to have my coach at the event.
"We still continue to seek financial support possible from any willing businesses as my world ranking and results improve as I have to travel to Asia and afar to continue the climb.
"Therefore I not only have to fund myself, but my coach too at these big events."
Exactly a year ago, Hart was ranked 132 in the world and had climbed more than 50 places to reach her new career best.
