Fishguard Leisure Centre launched Pembrokeshire Leisure’s popular 2019 Go Tri series with two exciting events – a Super Sprint and Go-Tri.
Sponsored by Folly Farm, the races were well supported despite heavy rain, with more than 50 participants completing the events.
The results of the Fishguard Go-Tri were as follows: Female Open: Carole Dudley; Male Open: Alan Latter; Female Novice: Josey Bellars; Male Novice: Isaac Jones; Female 40+: Natalie Fulstow; Male 40+: Jason Winter; Female 50+: Angela Evans; Male 50+: Jason Thomas.
Next up in the Go Tri series is the Tenby Triathlon on the evening of Wednesday July 31st (swim 400m, bike 20km, run 5km).
Following that is the Haverfordwest Triathlon on Sunday, August 11th (swim 400m, bike 20km, run 5km).
Novices as well as experienced athletes are welcomed so if you are looking for a new challenge this is perfect for you.
There are categories for novices, individuals and teams as well as vets (40+) and super vets (50+).
- All entrants receive a Go-Tri memento towel and category winners also receive a free pass to Folly Farm.
- Pembrokeshire County Council leisure centre staff are on hand at all events to support participants.
