Alec Colley Cup Round 1: Cresselly 2nds (52-1) beat Hook 2nds (52 all out) by 9 wickets
It was a quick night at Cresselly as their second team notched their first win of the season against Hook 2nds.
The Doves became the fourth team through so far along with Carew, Neyland and Pembroke after bowling the visitors out for 51 in 18.2 overs.
Hook had a bad start as Brennan Lay (1) and Jonathan Willington (1) both fell to Matthew Lewis, although No 3 Jacob Lay went on to top score with a four and a six in his 22.
But during that time he was helpless at the other end as the away side went from 21-2 to 23-7, and it took 15 from No 11 Phil Griffiths (two fours) to help them past the half century mark.
For Cresselly, Lewis finished with 2-3 in three overs, Lyn Richards 2-11, Simon Cole 2-13, Stefan Jenkins 2-11 and Oli Richards 2-11.
And Neal Williams ensured the reply lasted just five overs, blasting 41 (nine fours) before being bowled by Dafydd Bowen (1-1) with victory in sight.
But fellow opener Mike Venables (9 not out) finished the job with Billy Kinnear (0 not out) at the other end.
