Division 1: Llangwm (148 all out) lost to Whitland (189 all out) by 41 runs
An innings of 72 from Jonathan Thomas and four wickets for Geraint Jones helped Whitland pull clear of the bottom two at Pill Parks - but the result left Llangwm rooted to the bottom.
The visitors recovered from losing opener Paul Davies without scoring before Geraint Jones (16) fell to leave them 16-2, but then came a stand of 86 between Thomas and Wayne Howells.
Howells made 31 (four fours) while Thomas went on to crack nine fours and four sixes to ensure 60 of his 72 runs came in boundaries.
There was also 29 (two fours) from consistent skipper Matthew Davies as The Borderers posted 189 all out - while Matthew Kiff starred for Llangwm with 5-27, and Joe Phillips (2-33), Noah Davies (1-38) and Luke Brock (1-43) also had wickets.
And then as so often, the home side got a rapid start to their chase before collapsing.
Openers Will Beresford and Jo Kiff put on 90, before the latter was caught by away captain Davies off Jones having blasted 51, with five fours and four sixes.
Beresford hit five fours in his 36 but then gave a return catch to Thomas and although No 3 Noah Davies also made 31 not out, the last eight batsman could only muster 15 runs between them.
And Whitland sealed the win in the 41st over after Jones bowled Phillips (0) to finish with 4-15 in 8.5 overs, while Howells took 3-42,
Thomas 2-41, and Matthew Davies 1-37.
Umpires: Arthur Brady and Tony Pasternack.
Scorers: Ann-Marie Jenkins and Cerys Griffiths.
