Athletes from Pembrokeshire Harriers enjoyed a remarkable two days at the Dyfed Secondary Schools' Championships.

The Championships were held over the usual two day period Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.

The Harriers produced 36 Dyfed Schools’ champions with one new Championship record - Lleucu Lloyd in the Year 8 girls javelin. She took the title with a throw of 29.78 metres. There were also a whole host of new PB’s.

There were so many good performances it’s hard to single out any individuals. The club was able to boast two triple champions - Flavia Jenkins (300m hurdles, long jump, 200m) and Ella Wintle (100m, 200m, 300m).

There were seven double champions - Liam Topp (100m, 200m); Michael Jenkins (discus, hammer); Iolo Griffiths (long jump, triple jump); Joseph Reynolds (200m, 400m); Kasia Cook (1K Walk, 1500m); Lleucu Lloyd (75mHurdles, Javelin); Lucy Wintle (300m, 800m).

Also, the club recently made a presentation to Heather Lewis to mark her historic achievement in becoming the first Pembrokeshire Harrier to gain Commonwealth Games honours.
