Division 1: Carew (172 for 8) beat Saundersfoot (144 all out) by 28 runs
A six wicket haul from Rhys Davies helped Carew return to form with a 28 run win over Saundersfoot.
The Rooks posted 172-8 thanks to another half century from Ian Sefton, and then it was Davies who was instrumental in shooting out the Seasiders for 144.
Sefton maintained his run of good form with a top score of 64, including four fours and two sixes, while Davies made 24 (three fours), cousin Tom 14, Shaun Whitfield 14 - and there was a late flourish from Ceri Brace, who hit a six and three fours in his 27.
For Saundersfoot, wickets fell to skipper Sam Franklin (3-31), John Mansbridge (2-40), brother Tom (1-10) and Nick Cope (2-36).
It was Franklin who led the way in the away reply with 34, alongside John Mansbridge (24), Cope (32), James Caine (10) and Danny Brace (12) - but none of the batsmen were able to push on as Davies claimed 6-37 in 11 overs, six of them maidens.
Tom Davies (1-11 in eight overs) Iori Hicks (2-36) and the returning Whitfield (1-23) helped wrap up the job.
The win takes Carew back to fourth ahead of a crucial game at Cresselly on Saturday, while Saundersfoot remain eighth.
