Division One West: Whitland 23-21 Crymych
The in-form Nico Setaro was Whitland's hero as they maintained their 100% winning record this season by coming through a tight, fierce local derby with Crymych at Parc Llwyn Ty Gwyn.
Setaro landed all 23 points for his side, and although The Borderers did it the hard way, at one point playing with 12 men after three straight yellow cards, they held on to beat the Preseli Men for the first time since late 2016.
The kicking duel between Setaro and opposite number Ifan Rees Phillips was always going to be critical and in fact it was the latter who gave the visitors a 0-6 lead with two early penalties.
But with Crymych flanker Sion Colella sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes, Whitland responded as Setaro levelled matters with two three pointers of his own - and then went over for an uncoverted try to put his side in front.
And a drop goal from the No 10, partnering with scrum half Tom Parry for the first time this season, then landed a drop goal to give his side a 14-6 half time lead.
The kicking contest continued in the second half as Phillips pulled three points back, only for home vice-captain Setaro to land three more penalties and at 23-9, the home side looked ome and dry.
But then came a dramatic finale as the Preseli Men piled on the pressure with Colella, who has had Prinicipality Premiership game time with Carmarthen Quins this season, scoring two tries and Phillips converting one of them.
The made it 23-21 and to add to the drama The Borderers had three players sin binned as skipper and hooker Marc Jones, flanker Scott Buirds and scrum half Tom Parry all saw yellow.
"The boys played well but indiscipline let Crymych back it," said home coach Gareth Bennett.
"However, three wins out of three since returning to Division One is great and the togetherness the boys have instilled got us through for the win.
"But credit to Crymych they didn’t give up. It was also great to see the big support and also the mini's playing half time."
Second placed Whitland host Yr Hendy this Saturday, while the Preseli Men go to leaders Felinfoel.
