It has been a tough three days - but the Wales Women's 7s side finished off their Commonwealth Games campaign with a morale boosting 19-14 win over South Africa.
Earlier in the day, the Welsh had been edged out 14-12 by Kenya, but there were tries for Whitland's Sioned Harries and Jasmine Joyce, who added to her tally after earlier scores against Australia and Fiji.
And the 22-year-old was amongst the tries again in their seventh/eighth place play off against the Springboks, crossing twice to make it five for the tournament, while skipper Sian Williams scored in the dying seconds to ensure Nick Wakley's side finished a very tough campaign with a morale boosting win.
As the only amateur side in their original group, it was always going to be a very tough ask for Wales, who were well beaten by hosts Australia, Fiji and England during Friday and Saturday.
But they responded on Sunday with two competitive displays, and will at least return home with a Commonwealth Games win under their belts.
They also gained a measure of revenge on South Africa who knocked them out of the Hong Kong 7s earlier this month.
It was New Zealand who sealed the Gold with an 17-12 epic sudden death win over Australia, while England claimed bronze by beating Canada 24-19.
