ROSEMARKET Golf Club members played for the Mudhoppers Shield on Saturday.
Winning with 37pts and beating Scotty Martin on count back was Luke Young. Third was Kevin Holmes 36pts, fourth Tom Strand 36pts, fifth Peter Morgan 34pts.
Joes Drysdale won the wooden spoon. Twos winner was Matthew Hobbs on hole 18. ,
Winter League winner was consistent John Lewis with 40pts, runner-up Paul Bowen beating Gary Lloyd on count back with 37pts, fourth Adam Reynolds 36pts, fifth Colin Sharpe beating Mark McCormack and Peter Morgan on count back with 33pts.
Twos winners were Alex James hole 7 and John McLean hole 9. Pinseekers Junior winners were red tees Michael Strand 25pts and white tees Alex Young 40pts, runner-up Luke Young 35pts, third Tom Strand 32pts, fourth Harley Holmes 24pts. The Seniors’ played a 14 hole medal last Tuesday, winning with a nett 53 was past seniors’ captain Mike Butler, runner-up was Roger Scrimshaw nett 56, third Colin Rogers nett 60 beating John McLean and John C Davies on count back. Best gross score was John McLean 69.
