Monkton Swifts 2
Pennar Robins 2
MONKTON Swifts came from two goals behind to secure a hard earned draw against close neighbours Pennar Robins.
This derby clash was quite literally a game of two halves. The visitors were well on top in the early stages and were rewarded when Mikey Powell opened the scoring from a corner with barely ten minutes on the clock.
Ten minutes later and striker Phil Thompson headed home a long throw-in inside the box. Minutes after the interval and Ben Nicholas got on the end of a cheeky back heel by Daniel Scourfield to pull a goal back for the Swifts.
On the 70 minute mark the hosts equalised, Matthew Davies got on the end of a Blake James cross to score at the far post.
