Johnston 0-5 Merlins Bridge.
MERLINS Bridge crushed Johnston to win by a five-goal winning margin at Glebelands.
This was the Wizards’ first win in four games as skipper Stephen McNabney opened the scoring midway through the first period, after earlier being denied by a cracking save by Tigers’ keeper Joel Codd.
The second-half was one-way traffic as the Wizards poured forward and cashed in with further goals by Luke Hayward, Nathan Thomas, Scott Crawford and Nathan Greene.
The pick of the goals was Hayward’s against his former Tigers’ team-mates, lashing home from 20 yards out. McNabney could have added a sixth, but the striker saw his late penalty crash off the crossbar.
