Ladies

LAST Tuesday's Ladies' competition was well attended with the weather staying dry and the showers only appearing after all the ladies had returned to the club house. The Twos' competition which had rolled over for several weeks was finally won and split by Karen Pullen and Cheryl Eva who took home a staggering £10.50 each. Runner up on the day was Cheryl Eva with 29 points but she was beaten on the back nine by the Lady Captain Karen Lewis playing her first competition in nearly 4 months.

Last Saturday, Mail on Sunday competition was held over in South Pembrokeshire Golf Club. Five of the highest handicaps were chosen to play with Jackie Skelhorn, Cheryl Eva, Margaret Hicks, Karen Pullen and Pat Evans all representing Milford. The conditions were atrocious with several of the ladies commenting it had been the worst they'd ever played in. However, the bad conditions didn't stop the Milford team winning 3 1/2 against South Pembs 1 1/2, a great win and good start to the New Year.

The ladies are reminded that there'll be a Texas Scramble to blow the cobwebs away on Sunday, February 15 with the first tee off at 12pm.
