Fishguard young farmer Joy Cornock will be flying to Kenya in 2010 as part of the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs international discovery programme.
Joy took part in a special selection process held on December 5th to decide who would be representing the largest youth movement in Europe across the globe.
Caroline Dawson, Wales YFC activities and international committee chairman said: “The international discovery programme is yet another way in which members of young farmers’ clubs can benefit from a true chance of a lifetime.
“Members will get the chance to work abroad on homestays, use their teaching skills in developing countries, be a part of a Welsh team during the European Rally, not to mention the chance to socialise with the locals.”
