BJP REPORTS: Store cattle (124). Fewer cattle following the bank holiday with trade a little less brisk. Top price of £895 for a 20-month-old Belgian Blue steer sold by Mr Davies, Penlan Wynt, Pontfaen.
Best heifer was a 36-month-old Charolais selling for 890 from Mike Canton, Nolton.

Beef types peaked at 139.0p and averaged at 110.3 p/kg, while dairy sorts topped at 120.0p and levelled out at 101.5 p/kg, with demand again exceeding supply. Cows and calves sold to a brisk run.

J. J. Morris reports: Another record breaking sale at Crymych mart, when a pair of spring lambs, sold by D. M. K. Davies, Cefn Mawr, Crymych, went for £100 apiece, and were bought by Rees Bros.
Cull ewes met a stronger trade to the previous market, with the best peaking at £94, the best Welsh mountain ewes topping at £66.50.
Hoggets also sold well throughout, with a top price of £79, which is excellent for the time of year. Ewes & lambs were very mixed in quality, but a top price of £168 was achieved, with an overall average of £74.50.
