PRESELI Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies hosted the annual FUW Farmhouse Breakfast at the Senedd last week.
The event celebrates and promotes Welsh farm produce by providing a healthy, traditional farmhouse breakfast. The event also highlights the importance of the Welsh farming and food industries to the Welsh economy.
Mr Davies said: “At the start of the new year, this event is a wonderful chance to honour the success of the Welsh farming and food industries, and meet with representatives of these industries to discuss some of the challenges that they are facing.
“Here in Wales, we produce a wonderful variety of food and drink and I look forward to seeing more and more Welsh products in our shops in the future. It’s essential that we continue to encourage shoppers to buy local produce and support their local economy. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage the people of Pembrokeshire to take advantage of the wonderful local produce we have here and cook up a traditional farmer’s breakfast.”
Farmhouse Breakfast Week begins on Sunday, January 26th.
