A RECENT arrival in the St Davids community is hoping to support the county’s artists and other businesses.
Etcetera ‘with love’, a contemporary gift gallery and framing boutique, opened its doors to the community on November 30.
Owner Jane Squire has owned and managed similar businesses in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan, for more than 20 years.
Jane and her family moved down into Pembrokeshire in 2009 and fell in love straight away.
“Pembrokeshire is one of the most beautiful destinations that my family and I have ever come across - the people here are so friendly and the quality of life is perfect for bringing up a family.
“I am excited to grow my businesses within such a hidden gem within Wales”.
Specialising in some unique collections and gifts, Etcetera also has an on-site framing service.
My main aim is to entice visitors with some of the most attractive and unusual gifts that you wouldn’t find anywhere else,” she added.
“I am sourcing a number of Welsh products in order to support local crafts people. I think it’s important to support other small business within the locality”.
The shop already stocks hand painted china plates by Deborah Withey of St Davids and embroidered cushions by Emma Iles of Solva.
Pembrokehsire Tourism chief executive Maudie Hughes said: “St Davids is a unique city and it's great to see Jane bringing together locally sourced products into her boutique.
“Visitors and local residents alike appreciate being able to browse and buy something a little different, and when these items are being produced within the county as well, it is even better.
“Pembrokeshire Tourism wishes Jane all the success with her new business.”
