While most of the UK is glued to The Voice or Britain's Got Talent, one Pembroke Dock family has a special reason to be following the fortunes of hit show American Idol.
Hollie Cavanagh, who has just made it through to the final six of the hard fought competition, has an auntie and cousins living in the Pembroke Dock area, all of whom have been avidly watching the show without fail every week.
Eighteen-year-old Hollie moved to the USA ten years ago from her Liverpool and her cousin Jenna Glover told the Western Telegraph: "She has got an absolutely amazing voice. It's quite mad to see her every week, her voice just gives you goose bumps. All of the family watch it every week and we are all very proud".
Hollie has survived negative comments from the judges with the help of the American public and now has an army of fans calling themselves the Hollie Pops.
Jenna added that if the family can't all watch it together they are straight on the phone after every performance with some of Hollie's stand out turns including Rolling in the Deep by Adele.
Hollie's Auntie Sheila Groves added: "We watch her faithfully and hope that she's on the list to go through. She's worked so hard and she's enjoying it. It's brilliant and I'm really proud, she's doing very, very well.
"They are having lots of Hollie parties in Liverpool and even Liverpool Football Club players went on the TV wishing her well last week".
Catch up on Hollie's progress on ITV2 on Thursday nights.
