A fun-packed family afternoon full of oriental flavour will be held in Haverfordwest’s Picton Centre tomorrow, Saturday.
The fundraising day for Japan’s tsunami orphans will be held from noon to 4pm.
Visitors will have the chance to try traditional Japanese crafts such as origami, pottery making, and the famous tea ceremony.
There will also be the opportunity to don traditional kimonos, try your hand at Sushi making and also enjoy a Shiatsu massage.
If you work up an appetite during the activities, delicious homemade Japanese food, including sushi, as well as cakes and tea, will be for sale.
All proceeds from the fundraiser, organised by the Pembrokeshire Japan Society, will go to a charity supporting the 2,000 orphans of last year’s tsunami.
A similar event last year raised more than £4,000.
“It’s one year since the tsunami,” said organiser Yoriko Omae.
“A lot of people are still affected by that disaster and we wanted to do something for them.
“We specifically wanted to raise money for those kids who lost their parents.”
Admission costs £3, or is free for children under ten.
