The article titled Constructive Borrowing by Medi George 18/4/2012 highlights a big problem and offers a potential solution for people like me, who find themselves unemployed and unemployable. Like anyone else, i cannot get onto local shutdowns and work in Engineering Construction without the necessary site safety certificates and the appropriate training thats needed to get them, and that costs money.
Students without incomes can get loans for training, so why cant anyone else? Does it matter if you are unemployed? If your training for a safety certificate or a welding certificate etc, then you are a student and should be entitled, like anyone else, to a 'Vocational' loan. The Engineering Construction Industry allows for good earnings to be made, so once employed it would be easy to pay back the loan in a relatively short period of time.... I would take it!
