Dear editor: I refer to your article "In the dark" on April 18th.
Once again the new and present senior management and members of the health board seem to be showing a total disregard of promises made in the past – that a permanent renal unit would be built on the Withybush Hospital site – and of the patient involvement from day one, in the planning of that unit.
It is not surprising that the Board has failed to win the trust of the people of Pembrokeshire who increasingly suspect there is worse news to come.
And what is Pembrokeshire County Council doing about it, after all the head of social services has a shared role with the Health Board.
Perhaps the board should remind themselves of the old Chinese saying: "Health is our greatest wealth; contentment is our greatest happiness".
