Voluntary and community groups will get their questions answered and their voices heard as PAVS embarks on a tour of the county this week.

PAVS (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services) will hold a number of one-to-one outreach sessions across the county, to highlight the support it offers.

The first session will be held at East Williamston Village Hall today, April 23rd, followed by a session at Foundry House, in Pembroke, on April 24th.

Another session will be held at PAVS, in Haverfordwest, on April 25th, then at Theatr Gwaun, Fishguard, on April 26th, and the Friends Meeting House, in Milford Haven, on April 27th.

All sessions run from 10am to 5pm, and anyone is welcome to drop in to view the displays, but booking is essential for the one-to-one support sessions.

Enterprising communities development officer Liz Cook said: “In the current economic climate, groups are working harder than ever to sustain their activities.

“PAVS offers them the support and information to feel confident that they are on the right track.

“Groups can gather information or ask advice on issues relating to running their organisation, legal responsibilities of trustees, writing successful funding applications and organising community fundraising.

“Anything that helps a group run as efficiently as possible will also ensure they have the best chance of not only surviving but thriving.”
