The case of two fishing vessel owners and a captain, due to appear at Haverfordwest magistrates court today (Thursday), has been adjourned to Monday, April 23rd.
Simon John Peter Coll, aged 44, of Castlemorris, and David Mark Griffiths, aged 38, of Waterston, owners of the Ocean Vanguard, face five charges of using a scallop dredge to fish, take or kill scallops in a prohibited area of Cardigan Bay, between January 18th and March 5th, 2011.
The vessel’s master, Lee Wonacott, aged 38, of Milford Haven, faces four charges of using a scallop dredge in the protected area.
The three were due to appear before Haverfordwest magistrates today in a prosecution bought by the South Wales Sea Fisheries Committee, now part of the Welsh Government. The case has been relisted for Monday.
