Young thespians can reach for the skies next week in a series of drama workshops at Fishguard’s Theatr Gwaun.
Drama Ifanc/4Uth is inviting applications from young people aged 9 – 18 years for its Easter workshops which run from April 9th-14th.
Described as “a week of intense preparation and fun” the workshops will Culminate in a performance of The Flight and the Echo on April 14th at Theatr Gwaun.
The play gives a glimpse of Fishguard and Goodwick a hundred years ago, seen partly through the pages of a local paper.
It is a prelude to the Corbett Wilson Festival which starts on April 14th and celebrates the first flight between Britain and Ireland.
The play explores the involvement a group of young rebels in the Corbett Wilson flight and its effect on their dreams and ambitions Opportunities will be provided for both newcomers and those already used to performing. Participants will be able to work with professionals, including the director Anvil Theatr Company, to develop their skills in acting, improvisation, dance and voice work.
