One of north Pembrokeshire’s hidden gems sparkled for Jane Davidson, as she visited Strumble Head recently.
The former Welsh Government environment minister was there to record a new series for BBC Radio Wales on the treasures of the soon-to-be-launched Wales Coastal Footpath At Strumble Ms Davidson met up with two local people - Cliff Benson of Sea Trust and Gaynor McMorrin chairman of Fishguard Arts Society. Both share a love of and fascination with Strumble’s rugged headland and seascape with all its associated wildlife.
They both agreed the new rail links to Fishguard made Strumble a wonderful gateway from which to explore the path.
During the interview the group watched a group of porpoises, which neither Jane nor producer Pauline Smith had seen before.
The programme will be aired on Country Focus on Easter Sunday at 7am; it will also be available on BBC iPlayer for those who prefer a lie in.
