The county’s produce will be celebrated at the first Pembrokeshire supper club tonight (Friday).
Launched by Transition Haverfordwest, The Freshly Pembrokeshire Supper Club is a new venture, which aims to promote locally-sourced produce.
Ingredients for the suppers will be sourced from the Haverfordwest farmers’ market on the same day, and other local suppliers.
Sally Davies, of Transition Haverfordwest, said: “Being a Transition town is all about promoting things you can do to reduce your consumption of oil and combat climate change. Part of this, is using local produce and growing your own food.
“This supper club will give people the chance to find out a bit more about us, experience the food, and get together with other people in the town.”
The evening’s meal, held at 7.30pm, at the Picton Community Centre, Haverfordwest, has both vegetarian and meat options, and costs £10 for two courses and £13 for three. Menus are available at www.transitionhaverfordwest.
