The Badger Trust’s appeal against the High Court’s ruling on the planned badger cull is due be heard in Cardiff today (Wednesday).
Anti-cull campaigners welcomed the suspension of the controversial badger cull proposed for north Pembrokeshire, while the appeal is decided.
The Badger Trust secured an appeal hearing challenging April’s High Court ruling that the badger cull was lawful.
The Lord Chief Justice ordered that the Badger Trust’s appeal against the refusal of the High Court to grant a judicial review of the Welsh Assembly Government’s decision to kill badgers should be held in Cardiff.
The case, which will start this morning at 10.30am, was previously listed for a hearing in London.
