UKIP’s candidate for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire is Raymond Clarke of Carmarthen.
Mr Clarke set up his business, Roman Scaffolding, when he was 20 and it continues to do well today.
He was born and raised on a council estate in carmarthen and has been married to Susie for 20 years, he has two grown-up children.
Mr Clarke says he is standing for election to represent ordinary people faced with greater bills for business rates, council tax, road fuel, food, energy costs and more.
He added: “I have become very used to dealing with and fully understanding the minefield of bureaucracy and red tape that is crippling not only business but everyday life.
"Local businesses large and small are the life blood of our local economy, the more business that close or fold and fail affects everyone in that community.”
