TWO brand new developments look to be on the way to London Road in Pembroke Dock.
A pizza delivery and takeaway facility, plus two shops are planned for the former Silcox garage site, and national retailers' are said to be interested in a move to the Bierspool site alongside Do It All and McDonald's.
Both applications were due to go the county planning committee yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon and were recommended for approval.
The plan for the former Silcox site, submitted by Dettling Developments, is to demolish the existing petrol station, car showroom and repair workshop.
They would be replaced with a food store, a bulky goods unit and fast-food pizza outlet.
There would be parking for 53 cars to the front with service yard to the rear.
The report to the committee says: "Analysis suggested that neither the food nor the non-food elements of the scheme would have a detrimental impact on the town centres of Pembroke Dock and Pembroke."
The application for the Bierspool site is to alter the floor space in three of four units previously granted planning permission.
The planning officer's report says: "The applicant has not stated who the end users are, except that they are national retailers and require specific retail areas."
